Honoring Our Heroes

A free luncheon honoring veterans and active military.

A warm meal, a keynote program, and a room full of gratitude. Every veteran receives two free tickets — one for you and one for a guest. All veterans are welcome, wherever you call home — and family, friends, and supporters can join for $20.

Want to go? Here's how.

Tickets are free for veterans and one guest, but they must be picked up in person before the event. Not a veteran? You're welcome too — $20 guest tickets are sold at the same locations.

  1. Pick up your free tickets

    Starting September 14, pick up two free veteran tickets (you + 1 guest) or buy $20 guest tickets at any of these locations:

    • Bruton Library — 302 McLendon St, Plant City
    • YMCA — 1507 YMCA Place, Plant City
    • Walden Lake Car Wash — 1414 S Alexander St, Plant City
    • Choo Choo Lawn Equipment — 3206 Sydney Rd, Plant City

  2. Save the date

    Sunday, November 1, 2026
    Doors open at 12:00 noon. The program begins at 1:00 PM.

    The first 100 veterans at the event receive a special goodie bag.

  3. Come as you are

    Attire is smart casual, or uniform/service attire if you prefer.

    Parking is free and right outside the Trinkle Center, with golf-cart shuttles if needed.

Tickets must be obtained in advance. No tickets are available at the door.

Our Story

It started at a kitchen table.

In 2011, Judy Wise planned a steak dinner for 30 local veterans on a $1,000 budget. The veterans told her they felt special and appreciated — so she kept going. Today, Honoring Our Heroes welcomes more than 600 guests each year.

Our mission is simple: to honor and thank the veterans in our community and their families. And 2026 marks America's 250th year — a milestone for a grateful nation.
